Connections UK Games Fair 2024

Criteria for Acceptance in the Games Fair

Slots in the Games Fair are limited. A session will be considered for a slot in the programme if:
  • It is a Serious Game (as distinct from a recreational game - we have a separate time and space for social / recreational games).
  • The game includes an explanation for conference attendees as to its purpose, design approach, and utility.
  • It will actually be played by conference attendees during the session. A mere sales pitch, demonstration of the game, or components, are not acceptable.
It can be:
  • In development or partly formed.
  • On any serious subject in the professional space, not just confined to Defence & Security.
Preference may be given to:
  • Presenters who have not previously presented at a Connections UK Games Fair.
  • Games that are open to active participation from conference attendees.
  • Games that are accessible to players new to wargaming.
  • First time game designers.
There are usually many expressions of interest in presenting games at the Games Fair so Connections UK reserves the final word on accepting a game into the programme.

Games Fair Arrangements

If you do present a game you will be allocated space, and as far as possible we will try to meet your space requirements. Connections UK cannot provide technology, technical assistance or personnel to assist with the presentation of your game. However we will make every effort to fit your requirements to the space we have available in the Conference venue. We expect there to be plenty of power sockets and the WiFi at the venue is very good.

If accepted, one presenter at the Games Fair is entitled to attend Connections UK free of charge.
